About the campaign
“Change for Change” is a grassroots campaign from Common Thread that invites people to turn their leftover Venmo balances into real support for teens who’ve experienced trauma, instability, or disconnection.

Many of these teens have been part of the foster care system—or slipped through the cracks of it. Others face homelessness, family breakdowns, or mental health challenges with little support.

Through your donation—whether it’s $1.06 or $4.82—you help fund programs designed to meet these youth where they are. Equine therapy, mentorship, mental health support, life-skills training, and joyful community events are just some of the ways your “change” can make a lasting impact.

It’s small change for you—but it can be a turning point for them.

Why now?
There's a crisis for teens in Utah

52%

The Bigger Picture
Since launching in 2022, Common Thread has reached over 2,000 Utah teens through free, trauma-informed programming. We host equine therapy, mental health workshops, life-skills training, and joyful community events for youth who’ve lived through abuse, instability, or foster care.

With “Change for Change,” we’re creating a movement powered by micro-donations and shared stories. Your $1 might not feel like much—but for a teen who feels alone, it can be the spark of connection.
