At Common Thread, we are more than just a support system for teens impacted by foster care—we are a community of passionate, dedicated individuals working together to create lasting change.
Our team is made up of 18 full- and part-time staff, many of whom volunteer their time to support our mission. We are a multilingual team, fluent in English, Spanish, and ASL, ensuring that language is never a barrier to connection.
What truly sets us apart is the depth of lived expertise within our team. We have professionals and advocates with personal experience in foster care, LGBTQ+ advocacy, immigration, childhood trauma, and more. With a combination of advanced degrees and real-world understanding, we design every program with a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach—ensuring that every teen who participates in our programs feels seen, supported, and empowered.
