We had the privilege of being hosted for two incredible Equine Therapy sessions with groups of teens, and the experience was nothing short of inspiring. Held at the National Ability Center, a facility featuring a top-tier arena, stables, and an open field, this event created a space where healing and connection could truly thrive.
A huge thank you to Keeley, our Mental Health Director & LCSW, who expertly oversaw the sessions, ensuring a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for all.
With the gentle guidance and encouragement of the NAC and Common Thread staff, our teens took courageous steps to engage with the horses—some for the very first time. It was heartwarming to witness so many teens blossom in this environment, growing in confidence as they connected not only with the horses but also with their peers.

Each teen had the opportunity to lead, groom, brush, and spend one-on-one time with over a dozen horses. Over the course of both sessions, it became abundantly clear just how powerful Equine Therapy can be.
The interactions we saw weren’t just moments—they were transformations, proving the unmatched ability of horses to foster trust, growth, and healing.
